The Doniphan West Music Department would like to announce them December, musicians of the month.
Kindergarten-Rowan Jakeman
Rowan is a great student who is always ready and learn. He remains enthusiastic while following expectations.
1st Grade-Miah Terry
Miah is a great student who works hard in class. She always strives to make good choices.
2nd Grade-Brynlee Zeit
Brynlee is a positive and productive student. She wants to do well and gives 100% effort from the start. She is also a great friend who consistently makes good choices.
3rd Grade-Abigail Thompson
Abigail is a hard worker who always has a positive attitude. She is great at doing what is asked of her and is a great leader in group work. She is a kind student who gets along well with others and is very helpful.
4th Grade-Tayla Keller
Tayla is a hard worker who does what is asked of her. She listens intently and puts great effort into her work. She is kind and empathetic to all.
5th Grade-Collins Lambert
Collins is a hard worker with a positive attitude. She does a great job at following directions and doing what she needs to do to get the job done.
6th Grade-Lillian Kuhnert
Lillian is a great student who always strives to have a positive attitude. She is a hard worker who does her best to get the job done. She is a kind and caring student.
5th Grade Band-Class Voted for Two
Ariel Koehler
Ariel is a hard worker. When she faces struggles, she continues to work to get better. She has improved so much this year and she does a great job at paying attention and getting her notes out.
Andrew McCauley
Andrew does a great job at listening and always knows what notes to play. He does a great job listening to learn how to better his playing. When others, in his section, are having difficulties, he will take the time to help them.
6th Band-Jagger Edie
Jagger is a hard worker in band. He comes in, get’s his equipment out and is ready to get to work. Outside of school, he puts in a lot of time perfecting his craft. He is one student, with a true passion for music.
Junior High Band-Class Voted for Two
Jozee Clary
Jozee is a great student and classmate. She is determined to learn more on her clarinet and does well at paying attention and working hard. She has done an excellent job at learning her parts and helping others.
Ketcher Peterson
Ketcher works hard every day. He comes in prepared and does what he needs, to learn his parts. He takes the time to help others when they are struggling. Overall, he’s a good feller.
High Schooler Band-Kolter Peterson
Kolter is an overall great student. He works hard, listens well, and is quick to learn his parts. One of his best abilities is being able to sight read and easily figure his parts out. He works well with all other students and is very supportive of all.
7-12 Choir-Lorene Peuker
Lorene is a very productive student. She is a hard worker who continues to work until she gets her parts down and is always willing to help others. She is a great listener who is always willing to accept tips to help better herself and her group.

8th Grade Recognition tomorrow during the JH Basketball game for both boys and girls basketball and also wrestling. The games start at 4 pm at the High School. The recognition will be between the A Girl game and A Boy Game.
Today the students and staff participated in the annual formal Elementary Christmas Lunch. The 3 chipmunks and the Grinch made a surprise visit.
