The Mustang girls earned a second-place finish in the TVL tournament, losing 61-71 to Hanover in the championship on Monday, Jan. 23.
The Mustangs began the tournament with a bye and then defeated Centralia 50-41 and Washington County 54-24 to make their way to the final game.
The Mustang boys went 0-3 in the TVL tournament, losing to Troy 21-63, Frankfort 31-51, and in double overtime to Onaga 52-64.
Getting back to the regular schedule, the Mustangs hosted the Blue Valley Rams on Friday, Jan. 27. The JV girls won 18-9 in a two-quarter game, the JV boys lost 11-40 in two quarters, the varsity girls won 69-37, and the varsity boys lost 33-55.
