DWHS promgoers stepped into an elegant storybook "Secret Garden" prom on Saturday, April 12.
The festivities began with a photo session at the Smith barn west of Highland, the perfect place to capture memories against the rustic backdrop.
Attendees made their grand entrance to the dinner and dance at the Highland Christian Church Fellowship Hall at 6:15 p.m. The hall was transformed into an elegant garden space adorned with twinkling lights, freshly cut budding limbs, vintage statuary, lush greenery, a gently trickling fountain, and hints of spring florals.
The table centerpieces embodied the "Secret Garden" theme, blending rustic charm with elegant details. Each table featured a sage green table runner, providing a soft, natural foundation for the decor.
Dinner, provided by the junior class, featured a menu of Texas Roadhouse steak or chicken accompanied by green beans, baked potatoes, rolls, and homemade chocolate sheet cake for dessert.
Following dinner and dancing, students transitioned to the HCC Wellness Center for the after-prom party.
The 2025 Doniphan West High School prom will be remembered as a magical evening where students came together to create lasting memories in their own secret garden.
