DWHS softball is off to a solid start, going 1-1 at Oskaloosa and defeating Blue Valley in two games at home.

The Mustangs use GameChanger Media, Inc. to track each game, and the program reported the following information about the Blue Valley games. In game one, Delainee Waggoner drove in four runs on three hits to lead the Mustangs past Blue Valley, 15-0. Waggoner hit a home run to left field in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the first inning, scoring one. The Mustangs went on a scoring rampage, scoring nine in the first. Pitcher Clara Feighner earned the win. The pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking one. 

In game two, H’Leigha Idol drove in six runs on two hits to lead the Mustangs to a 26-12 win.  The Mustangs collected 17 hits in the game, including Jaidyn Smith, Brennah Edie, and Feighner each with three and Ella Haynes with two.
