Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back to another fantastic school year! We hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer break. As we prepare to begin the new academic year, we want to share some important information and updates with you.
We are excited to introduce several new staff members who have joined our school community. Please join us in welcoming Sharelle Blevins (Library Para), Dallas Keller (7-9 Math/7-12 A.D.), Remington Powell (9-12 Social Studies), Rosella Madere (8, 9, & 12 ELA/Senior Project), John Paolino (7-8 Social Studies/Tech), and Kaitlin Weis (Activities/District Secretary). They bring with them a wealth of experience and dedication, and we are thrilled to have them on board!
The first day of school we have planned a busy and exciting agenda. Our activities will include class photos, Chromebook check-out, concussion training, class meetings, and a modified class schedule. We encourage students to actively participate in these activities as they will set the tone for a successful academic year ahead.
In the spirit of fostering a focused learning environment, we have made a slight change in our cell phone policy. Students will now be required to ask for permission before using their cell phones during school hours. In the past, they were allowed to use their phones between classes and during lunch without needing permission. This change aims to promote better classroom engagement and minimize distractions. Parents can still contact their child via email through their Chromebook or by calling the school office.
We want all our students to thrive not just academically but also in their overall well-being. Staying hydrated is crucial for good health, and we have provided filtered water dispensers on both levels of the building. Students are welcome to bring water to their classrooms, but we request that it be carried in a clear container for safety and monitoring purposes.
As we kick off this new school year, we encourage open communication and collaboration between parents, students, and teachers. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for the success of our students.
If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support and guide your child throughout their educational journey.
Once again, welcome back! Let's make this academic year one filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.
